Instruction to keep enough money in ATM booths at Eid

Economic Reporter: Bangladesh Bank has instructed to ensure continuous transactions through ATM booths, point-of-sale (POS), e-payment gateways and mobile service during the Eid holidays.

In a circular on Tuesday, the central bank gave the order to the chief executives of all scheduled banks operating in the country.

According to the circular, people will perform transactions using ATM machines, POS machines and e-payment gateways as the banks are closed on holidays.

In order to facilitate transaction, continuous maintenance of ATM and POS network will be ensured as well as supply of cash.

The circular has also instructed not to close ATM booths and engage enough watchmen in every booth.
