‘Khaleda’s release necessary for humanitarian reasons’

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release is necessary for humanitarian reasons.

The BNP stalwart made the comment when he asked about telephone discussion with Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader over the issue on Friday.

Fakhrul said, “It would be better what he (Obaidul Quader) said over the matter. Khaleda’s family has appealed for her release on her physical ground. Now it necessary to release her for her treatment on humanitarian reason in spite of any political motive.”
