Khaleda’s sentence stay to be cancelled if she breaches condition

Attorney General Mahbube Alam said the government may recall the decision of cancelling stay order of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s sentence if she breaches the condition.

He made the observation in reply to a query of the reporters at his Supreme Court (SC) office on Wednesday.

The AG said the government stayed Khaleda Zia’s punishment for six months on condition that she will not get involved in politics during the period. Her physical condition was conserved in this regard. Now if she begins political activities, I think she will breach the condition and the government can recall the decision.
