Level playing field in city polls: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda said that there is a level playing for the upcoming two city corporation elections. Nothing has happened yet outside of controls.

The CEC made the opinion while addressing reporters after a meeting with representatives of Awami League and BNP at Agargaon in the capital on Monday evening.

He said, “Today we have discussed with the representatives of BNP and Awami League. Their complaints are common. Those will remain in our control.”

Nurul Huda said, “BNP said that police harassed them. But, nothing has found in this regard. On the contrary, Awami League blamed BNP over the yesterday’s incident.”
