MP among all family members test coroanvirus positive

Member of Parliament (MP) from Chittagong-16 constituency (Banshkhali) Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury along with 10 other members of his family have tested coronavirus positive.

The lawmaker and his family are now in isolation at his city residence.

MP Mostafizur Rahman’s personal secretary (PS) A K M Russell confirmed the news.

It was learnt that samples were collected from a total of 16 members of MP's family on June 1. The samples were tested at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) and the results came back positive for 11 persons including MP. The others include MP’s wife, his three daughters, son-in-law, granddaughter, domestic helps and his personal secretary.

However, the lawmaker and his family members are now doing well, according source of MP’s family.
