Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: A man named Pethan Shil (70) has been arrested for killing his wife and granddaughter in Putibila area of the district’s Lohagara upazila.
The deceased were identified as Pushpa Bala (65) and her granddaughter Sangita Shil (4 months).Officer-in-Charge of Lohagara Police Station Mohammad Shahjahan said that Pethan Shil stabbed his wife, granddaughter and daughter-in-law Moni Bala Shil (23) over family feud, leaving duo dead on the spot and Moni Bala critically injured.
The injured Moni Bala Shil has been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
On information, police recovered the bodies and arrested Pethan Shil.
