Militant Mahfuz at DB office

Staff Correspondent: The master planner of Gulshan carnage and Neo-JMB northern regional commander Shohel Mahfuz alias Hatkata Mahfuz has been taken to the office of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

He was brought to the capital's Minto road DB office by a car around 4:00pm on Saturday.

Earlier on Friday night, Chapainawabganj police arrested him along with his three cohorts from a mango field of Pushkoni area under Shibganj upazila of the district.

The other arrestees are Hafizur Rahman Hafiz, technology expert of Neo-JMB, arms supplier Jewel Ranan and Jamal Hossain, Neo-JMB co-ordinator of Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj and Natore district.

Shohel Mahfuz was brought to Dhaka as he was involved in Holey Artisan Bakery terror attack of the capital's Gulshan carried out on July 1 last year. Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Police will interrogate him over the incident.
