Minister asks hospitals to open help desks on chikungunya

Senior Correspondent: All public hospitals across the country have been directed to open help desks to tackle chikungunya disease effectively.

The step was taken following the direction of Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Monday.

Besides, initiatives have also been taken to set up, if necessary, a joint pain clinic at every hospital to mitigate suffering of Chikungunya patients.

A control room on chikungunya disease was opened on July 3 at Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
