Mother-son among 3 killed in road accident

Comilla Correspondent: At least three people including a mother and her son have been killed and two other injured as a covered van ran over them.

The accident took place around 11.30am on Friday in Lohipura area of Comilla Sadar South Thana. 

The deceased were identified as Mahmuda Akhtar, wife of Ikram Hossain in Dhanaitari area of Comilla Sadar South Thana, her son Arshad (18 months) and auto-rickshaw driver Monir Hossain of Gopalnagar area.

According to sources, a Dhaka-bound covered van ran over their auto-rickshaw, leaving mother and her son dead on the spot.

Auto-rickshaw driver Monir Hossain died on way to hospital.
