Nine officials promoted to secretaries

Secretariat Correspondent: In a major reshuffle in the government, a total of nine high officials were promoted to secretaries.

The ministry of public administration has issued two separate notifications in this connection on Monday.

According to the gazette notifications, Md Kaikobad has been made secretary to the food ministry, while Ishtiak Ahmed to the ministry of environment and forest, Md Alamgir to the vocational and madrasha education division, Shuvasish Basu to the commerce ministry, Kazi Shafikul Azam to the economic relations division and Akhter Hossain Bhuiyan was posted to the defense division.  

Md Anwarul Islam has been posted as rector at BCS Administration Academy, Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Mumin has been made chairman at Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation and Mostafa Kamal Uddin has been posted as acting member at Planning Commission.
