Nine selected for MD of state-owned banks

Special Correspondent: Nine officials have been selected for the posts of Managing Director (MD) in state-owned banks and financial banks.
Meanwhile two have been rejected from the race for their alleged involvement in corruption and irregularities.
The decision has been taken in a meeting chaired by the Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on Sunday.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) governor Fazle Kabir, Bank and Financial Institution Division Senior Secretary Mohammad Yunusur Rahman and officials concerned were present in the meeting.
The officials who were selected for MDs are Mueen Uddin of Palli Sanchay Bank, Mohammad Ismail Hossain, Rafiqul Islam, Moshiur Ali and Ali Hossain Prodhania from Agrani Bank, Amin Uddin Ahmed and Toriqul Islam of Sonali Bank, Mahtab Zamin of Krishi Bank and Mohammad Helal Uddin of Janata Bank.
Bank and Financial Institution Division will take further steps in this regard within one or two days, according to sources.
