No clue found over Farhad Mazhar abduction

Staff Correspondent: Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque said no evidence was found over abduction of writer, columnist and poet Farhad Mazhar.
In reply to a query, IGP came up with the statement to the reporters after attending and anti-drug rally at the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in the capital on Saturday noon.
The case was handed over to Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) from Adabor Police on Thursday.
IGP said DB is investing into the matter. Yet no clue was found to Farhad Mazhar abduction.
When asked over Daily Observer photo journalist Ashiq Mohammad who was sent to jail in a false Yaba case, IGP said, "I knew nothing in this regard. If such incident happens, I direct to the top officials to form a probe committee for investigation into the matter. If anyone is found guilty, he/she would be punished."
