One killed in Bagerhat ‘gunfight’

Bagerhat Correspondent: An unidentified man has been killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the elite force in the district’s Mollahat upazila.

The gunfight took place on Sunday midnight in Kahalpur area of the upazila.

RAB also recovered a pistol and three rounds of bullets from the spot.

RAB-6 Commander Khandoker Rafikul Islam said a RAB team challenged two motorcycles riding five terrorists, but they opened fire forcing the RAB men to back fire. Later, RAB rescued one bullet-hit man but other managed to flee from the spot.

The bullet-hit man was admitted to Mollahat Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctors declared him death.
