Operation underway to trace militant den in Gaibandha

Gaibandha Correspondent: Police are conducting drives in search of militant dens in remote char areas in Gaibandha.
The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit accompanied by the district police started the operations since early Wednesday.
AKM Mehedi Hassan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station, confirmed the news.
He said a team comprising of more than 50 cops led by the district Police Superintendent Moinul Haque are conducting drives at different char areas including remote Kamarjani char.
However, no militant hideout was found in the drive while the report was filed around 10:30am.
