Passenger held with 9kg gold in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: A passenger named Sirajul Islam has been arrested along with nine gold bars weighing 9.278 kilogram at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
He landed in Dhaka from Malaysia via Bangkok by a PG flight of Bangkok Airways on Wednesday night.
On secret information, customs officials challenged Sirajul while he was crossing green channel, said customs sources.
After searching his body, the officials recovered the gold bars worth Tk 4.60 crore.
