Per capita income rises to $2,064

Although Bangladesh is facing coronavirus pandemic, country’s per capita income has increased.

Bangladesh’s per capita income grew to $2,064 in the fiscal year 2019-20, which was $1,909 in the last fiscal year.

The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistic (BBS) revealed the figures as provisional data on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth was recorded at 5.24% in the fiscal year 2019-20 which was 8.15%, the highest ever in the country’s economic history, in fiscal year 2018-19.
