President reaches Singapore for health checkup

Desk Report: President M Abdul Hamid on Sunday reached Singapore for his health checkup.

"A regular flight of Singapore Airlines Limited, carrying the President, landed at Changi International Airport, Singapore at about 7.30 pm local time," According to President's Deputy Press Secretary M Abul Kalam Azad.
 

On his arrival at the airport, the President was received by Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mustafizur Rahman.

Earlier, the President along with his 35 entourages including his spouse Rashida Khanam, son Rejwan Ahmmad Taufiq, MP, Secretary Shampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General M Sarwar Hossain and Press Secretary Joynal Abedin left Dhaka for Singapore at about 1.22 pm.

Abdul Hamid will receive eye treatment at Singapore National Eye Centre and Eye Hospital and undergo health checkup at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, he said.

The president is expected to return home on August 12.
