Quader dismisses appointment of 2 BRTA employees

Staff Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader directed the authorities concerned to cancel the appointment of two ad hoc employees of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

The two alleged employees are Md Shahin and Md Sultan Mahmud. Both of them were seal mechanics and appointed on ad hoc basis in the BRTA.

The minister directed the BRTA chairman to cancel the appointment of its two employees as the allegation of anomalies brought against them was proved to be true.

Quader made the direction while visiting the BRTA office in the capital’s Mirpur on Wednesday noon.

Besides, the minister directed the BRTA officials to abide by the existing rules and regulations properly and asked them to provide different kinds of services to the vehicles with honesty.

Administrative action will be taken against those who will be found involved in any irregularities, he added.
