Rajib Gandhi on 6-day remand

Staff Correspondent: A court in Dhaka granted six-day remand to interrogate Jahangir Alam alias Rajib Gandhi, another suspected mastermind of Gulshan terrorist attack.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hakim Abdullah Al Masud passed the order on Monday.
Earlier, Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit Sub Inspector Rafiq Uddin also Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced him before the court seeking ten days remand.
The court official Mokbulur Rahman said that the Rajib Gandhi was shown arrested on February 5. Later, the court accepted the plea on February 8.
On November 1, 2016, 10 militants including Rajib and 10-12 others were holding a secret meeting in city's Dhanmondi area. Meanwhile, police chased them and detained two of them from the spot but Rajib with others managed to flee.
