Rumpa’s 'boyfriend' Saikat held

Detective Branch (DB) of Police have held Saikat, ‘so called’ boyfriend of Stamford University student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa over her death.

He was held on Saturday.

According to DB sources, Saikat is former BBA student of the same university. He is being interrogated under DB custody. He was held after checking call list of Rumpa’s mobile phone. He made the last call on Rumpa’s phone.

Rumpa, a second-year English student of the private university in Siddheshwari area, was found dead on an alley near the building on Wednesday night.
