Sale of advance train tickets begins

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Railway authorities have started selling advance train tickets on Monday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims.

Commuters are collecting advance tickets from Dhaka’s Kamalapur and Chittagong railway stations.

Kamalapur Railway Station Manager Sitangshu Chakrabarty said that the sale of advance tickets has started at 8:00am and will continue till 5:00pm. A total of 23 counters are opened here. There is also a counter for woman and disabled people.

The sale will continue till June 16 and a commuter will be able to buy highest four tickets at a time.

He said, "Today we are selling tickets for June 21."

Tickets for June 22 journeys will be available on June 13, for June 23 on June 14, for June 24 on June 15, and June 25 for June 16.
