Seaports asked to hoist signal 3

Staff Correspondent: Seaports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. 3 as deep convection is taking place over North Bay.

Gusty or squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said special met office bulletin.
The met office also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at places over Chittagong division.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
