Seaports asked to hoist signal no 3

Staff Correspondent: The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal No 3 as a deep convection is moving over the North Bay.

The depression over the north-west bay and adjoining area moved northwestward over the same area. It is likely to intensify further and move in northeast direction, said a Met Office special bulletin.

All the fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice. They have also been advised not to venture into the deep sea, according to a news agency.
