Slum put under lockdown at Sher-e-Banglanagar in city

A slum at Sher-e-Banglanagar in the capital was put under lockdown after a person was detected with coronavirus positive. Now, anybody can neither enter the slum nor exit from it.
Alam Munshi, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station, confirmed the news to risingbd.
He said the slum was put under lockdown on Wednesday with instructions given by the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) after a dweller of it detected with coronavirus positive. The step was taken so that the virus cannot transmit to any other person. The slum dwellers have been made cautious over the matter.
