Suspected Ashulia militant den raided, jihadi books recovered

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have recovered 151 jihadi books from a godown in Rangamatia area of Ashulia, the outskirts of Dhaka after carrying out an operation there on suspicion of a militant hideout.

The operation was carried out at the Harun Engineering Wireless godown owned by an England expatriate Harun on Saturday midnight.

No one was detained in this connection.

Locals at the area said seven to eight people would stay there. All of them have fled after being aware of the operation.

RAB-1 Lt Col Sarowar said the owner of the institution supports militant ideology and he basically financed in terrorism. A drive is underway to arrest him.
