Taramon Bibi taken to Dhaka

Kurigram Correspondent: Bir Protik Taramon Bibi has been taken to Dhaka from Rangpur Combined Military Hospital (CMH) with severe asthmatic problem.
A helicopter carrying the Liberation War veteran Taramon Bibi shifted to Dhaka as her as her physical condition deteriorated on Saturday.
Earlier, Taramon Bibi was referred to Rangpur CMH as she is suffering from acute asthmatic problem for several days.
Taramon Bibi, an inhabitant of Kachariparha village under Rajibpur upazila of the district, took part in the battles in Raumari and Rajibpur areas under Sector No. 11 during the Liberation War.
The Bir Protik fought for the Mukti Bahini (Liberation Army) which was a guerrilla force that fought against the Pakistan military during the Liberation War in 1971.
She joined the war from her village home in Shongkor Madhobpur of Kurigram district.
She was in Sector 11 under the leadership of sector commander Abu Taher.
