Truck-Leguna collision kills 4 in Kaliakoir

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: At least four people were killed and eight others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and human hauler, popularly known as leguna, at Mouchak area of the district's Kaliakoir upazila on Saturday noon.

The casualties could not be identified immediately.

Md Kausar, Sub-Inspector of Konabari-Salna Highway Police Station and locals said a cattle laden Gazipur-bound truck collided with a passenger laden Chandra-bound leguna at Mouchak area around 1:00pm, leaving 12 injured.

Of the injured, four succumbed after they were taken to a local hospital, they added.
