Two killed in Ctg separate road crashes

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: At least two people including a lawyer were killed in separate road accidents at Halishahor and Pahartoli area of the port city on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Advocate Rafiqul Islam, 68, and Ayub Ali Sujon, 27.

Jahirul Islam, In-Charge of Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) police outpost, confirmed the news.

Local sources said a truck ran over Advocate Rafiqul Islam, son of late Azam Ullah of Halishahor K-Block area when he was returning from morning work around 6:15am on Friday, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to CMCH where he succumbed.

Meanwhile Ayub Ali Sujon, son of Abbas Uddin of Soraiparha of Pahartoli area, died at CMCH early Friday.

He was critically injured in a road accident happened at Soraiparha on Thursday night.
