‘We will re-export gas to India’

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said we are not giving gas to India. The information of gas selling is false. Basically we will re-export processed gas to India bringing gas from abroad.

The minister said this while addressing reporters after inspecting construction work of Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet’s Lakkatura on Tuesday.

He said, “Many of us think that we are exporting gas. No way, we will re-export it. Same things happen in many countries. Where will you sell gas from? Actually, we will bring in gas from abroad and get it (gas) into the cylinder. Later, we will export the processed gas to India.”

“As a result, this will expand our market. Our country will make progress,” he added.
