Staff Correspondent: Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman said that special steps are being taken to publish results within 90 days and to remove other complexities of the seven Dhaka University-affiliated colleges that will be effect in six months.
Besides, those students failed in examinations can apply for exam in their colleges respectively, he said.
Students of the seven affiliated colleges handed over a five-point demand memorandum to DU VC on Monday. The demands include removing session jam and evaluating error results.
The VC said, “A process of constructing an independent administrative building to conduct activities of the seven colleges. Teachers of the seven colleges will make the questions. No change will be brought to their certificates. An academic calendar has been made for conducting activates of the colleges that will be published soon.”
Meanwhile, students of the colleges called their movement off after the university authorities assured them of meeting their five-point demand.
Abu Bakar, coordinator of the movement, said they withdrew their movement as the DU authorities assured them of taking steps to meet their demands.
