Who collect AL forms for by-elections to 5 JS seats

A total of 32 intending candidates collected application forms till Tuesday to get Awami League tickets to vie in the by-election to five parliamentary seats.

The Election Commission recently announced the schedule for by-polls to Dhaka-10, Bagura-1, Bagerhat-4, Jashore-6 and Gaibandha-3 seats.

The AL started distribution of application forms from Saturday at AL president’s Dhanmondi political office here. The form distribution and submission will continue till February 14 between 11am to 5pm every day.

On February 15, interviews of the intending candidates will be held at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official Ganabhaban residence in the evening.

Besides, application form distribution and submission for Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) polls also began on Monday and it will continue till February 14. Seven persons collected forms for mayoral post while 234 for councilor posts.

The price of nomination forms for Member of Parliament post is Taka 30,000, mayoral post Taka 25,000 and councilor post Taka 10,000. _BSS
