Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A woman was crushed under wheels of a train at Tongi rail junction in Gazipur on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Monowara Begum, 45, wife of late Mobarok Hossain of Kouli village under Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj.
Md Saiful Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Tongi Junction Police Outpost, confirmed the news.
He said Monowara was crushed under the wheels of a train while she was walking by rail tracks near rail over bridge at the southern part of Tongi junction around 7:30am.
Later, railway police recovered the body, he added.
