Woman hospitalized in Rangpur for suspected coronavirus infection

A Chinese female worker, who returned from China recently, has been admitted to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) with early fever.

Dr Narayan Chandra, spokesperson for the medical team of the hospital's coronavirus unit, confirmed the matter on Sunday.

Hospital sources said, the Chinese woman named Jing Hua arrived in Bangladesh on February 4. She went to her workstation at Uttara Export Processing Zone (EPZ). For the last two days, she had been suffering from common cold and chest pains. As her condition deteriorated this noo, she was taken to the corona unit of RMCH for treatment.

Dr Chandra further said, her treatment is going on here. The issue is informed to the national Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR). Specialists will collect her medical samples.
