Women killed on running bus: 3 held

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Three persons have been arrested in the incident of killing a woman by transport workers after pushing her father out of running bus.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) arrested them on Friday.

PBI’s Senior Police Super Azad Rahman confirmed the information to risingbd.
The incident took place at Ashulia on November 9 night.

Police recovered the body of Zarina Begum, 45, from Moragang area on the Abdullahpur-Baipail Highway around 11:00pm.

According to police, Zarina Begum and her father Akbar Ali, 70, were going to Tangail and on their way, they had an altercation with the bus driver, his assistant and the vehicle’s supervisor.

The transport workers beat them up and at one stage threw Akbar out of the bus from the Ashulia bridge area. Akbar contacted police shortly.

A police patrol team followed the bus route and found the body of Zarina.
Zarina’s son-in-law filed a case in this connection.
