Youth held for disturbing foreign tourist

Police on Tuesday held a youth for allegedly disturbing a foreign tourist Saintmartin-bound ship at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.

The detainee was known as Md Salman, 19, son of Abdul Khalek of Natmura para of Hnila in Teknaf. He is an HSC student.

Pradeep Kumar Das, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Teknaf Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said, “A video clip went viral on internet shows that several youths were disturbing a foreign tourist using some offensive words. Police took it with importance. Later, Salman was held after identifying from video clip.”
