Former Titas Gas MD Syed Anowarul Haq dies

Engineer Syed Anowarul Haq, former managing director of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, has died.

He breathed his last on September 7 at United Hospital in the city, says a press release.

He was 79 years old.

Syed Anowarul Haq also served in different important positions in Petrobangla.

He was described as an honest, adept, capable, and professional man by his colleagues.

During his 36 years of service in oil, gas and mineral resources sector, his brilliant leadership enabled the sector to make great strides including implementation of country’s only coal project.

All Titas Gas staff have been deeply saddened by his passing, and pray for his departed soul.

Syed Anowarul Haq was born in a respected muslim family in Madaripur in 1942. He retired in 2001 when he was the technical director of the Board of Directors of Petrobangla.

He left behind wife, two siblings and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
