Lesson during a bus journey: Try to think out of the box

Recently, I have experienced a journey by bus from Barishal to Pirojpur. Usually, whenever I travel around, I used to take my earphone to listen to songs and enjoy the natural beauty outside the bus window.

But on this journey, I enjoyed it in a different way. I have tried to read the face of the passengers on the bus. A family comprising father, mother and daughter has taken their seat just behind me.

The girl is around two years of age. She delineates the whole things to her parents what she sees through the window. She follows her heart and enjoys the journey in her own way. In our practical life, sometimes we have to enjoy our life in our own way whatever the way is successful or someone validates you or not.

The second thing I witnessed, one hawker is selling his product standing in the middle of the bus. A woman is trying to go out of the bus and the hawker doesn’t notice that. Inadvertently he and the woman have a jolt. Later the woman behaves so rudely with the hawker. So unpredictable! I think the woman will understand her mistakes one day. She will probably not be able to ask forgiveness from that hawker. Don’t hurt anyone without knowing who is responsible for that deed.

Another thing I have come to know, the power of a marketing strategy to sell any type of products. In the whole journey, minimum of six hawkers have come on the bus to sell products. But one hawker is able to make maximum output around Tk 100. Only because of his style of speech to sell the product is different than the others. He uses a real-time example. So be unique and do the work in your own way. And try to think out of the box.

The last one I noticed many changes in the roadside buildings. Even in the way, there is one ferry to pass the river. That will replace by a bridge in the near future and now the bridge is under construction.

The ferry may be out in near future from the river. That will save time and free us from the uncertainty of getting a ferry. We can learn lessons from nature to leave the old and adopt the new one in terms of our wellbeing.
