Criticism of Islam: Two NSTU students suspended

The authorities of the Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) have temporarily suspended two of its students as they allegedly criticized Islam through Facebook posts.
The students are- Pratik Majumder (Department of ESDM) and Dipta Paul (Department of Pharmacy) of the university.
Registrar Professor Abul Hossain has confirmed news on Wednesday.
According to the notice, the university administration has decided to suspend the two accused students temporarily and also cancelled their seats of the university hall for hurting religious feelings.
The accused students also asked to explain within November 2 to the office of the registrar of why they should not be permanently suspended from the university and prosecuted under the ICT act.
