DIU becomes champion at inter-univ debate competition

Dhaka International University clinched the champion’s trophy of the inter-university ‘UCB Public Parliament’ debate competition yesterday.

The title of the competition was ‘Government’s Goodwill in Preventing Corruption’ and Preventing Market Syndicate’.

The Debate for Democracy and ATN Bangla jointly organized the competition held at FDC in the capital on the day. The Debate for Democracy President Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron was present as the mock speaker.
The winners of the debate were included Kawsar Ahmed, Bashar, Bulbul Ahmed, Neela, Rachi, Rezwana Karim Sara, Faria, Al Amin, Shah Alam and Sharmin.

Congratulating the winning debaters, DIU Vice-Chancellor Prof. KM Mohsin said, ‘Our students have always been doing well in the field of debate. In addition to their studies, they have kept this rich journey of debate intact by making the most of their talents. I believe that they will continue to hold this position in the coming days as well.’
