Seminar on EFL writing held at IU

A seminar on pedagogical challenges of teaching English as Foreign Language writing at the HSC level was held at Islamic University in Kushtia Saturday.

IU English department organized the seminar at the second floor of Rabindra-Narzrul Arts’ faculty building in the morning.

IU English department Professor M Shahadat Hossain Azad addressed the seminar as the chief discussant with the departmental chairperson Professor Mossammad Salma Sultana was in the chair.

M Habibur Rahman, a researcher of the IU English department, presented the article under the supervision of the department’s Professor Miah M Rashiduzzaman.

Liton Boron Sikdar, an assistant Professor of the department, conducted the seminar attended by over 50 teachers of different departments of the university.

Addressing the seminar, Dr Shahadat Hossain Azad focused on different theoretical and methodological aspects of EFL writing. He also put emphasis on incorporate suggestions of the students, teachers, policymakers and pedagogues to set a unified policy to address the challenges.
