The students of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) have protested the Khulna University authorities’ move to expel three teachers and two students for their alleged involvement in the recent student movement.

On January 24, the NSTU students formed a human chain program in front of the central Shaheed Minar of the university. The human chain was conducted by Mahmudul Hasan Arif, a student of the Department of Sociology of NSTU.

The students said, the university administration should be friendly towards the students. It is alarming that the authorities of Khulna University are taking actions against the students and the teachers' involvement in a movement which is not acceptable in our independent country.

“We strongly condemn and protest such an aberrant attitude of the Khulna University administration to its teachers and students. We demand to withdraw this decision soon,” they added.
