BAU gets new proctor

Dr. Mohammad Mohir Uddin, a professor of the Entomology department, has been appointed as the new proctor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).

A press release signed by the registrar of the university has confirmed the news.

Professor Mohir Uddin completed his honors and masters from the department of Entomology in the Faculty of Agriculture of BAU and obtained his Ph.D. from Humboldt University in Berlin in 2009.

Later on 23 July, 2003, he was appointed as a lecturer in BAU. In 2013, he was promoted to professor in the Entomology department.

He has also held various important responsibilities including Director of International Desk of the University, Provost of Ashraful Haque Hall, Assistant Proctor, Head of Entomology Department, House Tutor of Sultana Razia Hall, and so on.

He was also the General Secretary of the Ganatantrik Shikhok Forum; He has been a member of the Executive Committee and General Secretary of the Teachers' Council.
