IU to reopen after Sept 27

The activities of Islamic University will be resumed after September 27 ensuring hundred percent Covid-19 vaccination of all students of the university. The students who do not have a national identity card will be able to register using the birth registration card through an app introduced by the University Grants Commission.

Arrangements will be made to open the university by holding an academic council meeting of the university.
 IU vice-chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam came up with the statements in a press conference held at VC Banglow on the campus in the morning.

UGC will create the app by the next 2 days. Students will be able to get vaccinated if they take the card to the concerned vaccination center even if there is no message after registration, he said.

The university administration would vaccinate the students at the medical center of the university if they faced any complication, he added.

Among others, IU pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Mahbubur Rahman, treasurer Professor M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya, proctor Professor M Jahangir Hossain and IU information, publication, and public relations office head M Ataul Hoque were present on the occasion.
