Kushtia Press Club gets new body

A new committee of Kushtia press club was elected with AL-Mamun Sagor of United News of Bangladesh as president and Anisuzzaman Dablu of Andoloner Bazar as general secretary on Saturday night.

The election was held at press club office in Kushtia around 4:00pm maintaining Covid-19 protocols.

Kushtia sadar upazila statistics officer Sukhen Kumar Paul announced the results at around 8:00pm where the district deputy director of statistics Abdul Alim was present on the occasion.

The other members of the committee are--Nurunnabi Babu of Daily Shomoyer Kagoj  and Golam Maula of weekly Robi Barta as vice-presidents, Abu Moni of Daily Kushtiar Khabor and Jubaed Ripon of Jugantar and Sirajul Islam of Daily Observer as  as joint-secretaries,  Nahid Hasan Titas of Daily Shomoyer Diganto as office secretary, M Liton-uz-Zaman of Bangla TV as treasurer, Tawhid Hasan of Prothom Alo as publicity, publication and cultural affairs secretary and Nizam Uddin of Desh TV as sports and social welfare secretary.

Abdur Rashid Chowdhury of Daily Bangladesh Barta, Zahurul Islam of Ekushey Television, Abdur Razzak Bachchu MY TV, Chowdhury Murshed Alam Modhu of Daily Muktamancha, Hasan Ali  of Banglavision TV, Ahsan Ali Biswas of Nabochetona, Ibrahim Hossain Miraj of Dainik Jano Motamot, Delwar Manik of Manobjamin and Samsunnahar Kotha of Daily Sagarkhali as executive members.

A total of 105 members out of 106 casted their votes to elect the executive body for the next two years.

Islamic University Journalists Association congratulated the newly-elected body of Kushtia press club.
