Muggers stab RMG worker to death in Gazipur

Muggers stabbed a woman garment worker to death in Baimail area of Konabari of Gazipur metropolitan on Wednesday night (June 12).

The deceased was known as Rubia Khatun, 23. She worked as a junior operator at Shenon Sweaters Limited in Konabari.

Rezaul Karim, a witness said that three muggers stop their auto-rickshaw in the area around 9:00pm and stabbed the woman, leaving her injured critically.

She was taken to Popular Hospital Limited in Konabari first. Later she was shifted to Shaheed Tazuddin Hospital where duty doctor declared her dead.

Sub-inspector (SI) Rokonuzzaman, at Konabari police station confirmed the matter.
