No suffering despite passenger-vehicle pressure at ferry

Lakhs of people from different classes and professions are already leaving the capital Dhaka to share the joys of Eid with their families. The pressure of home-bound people has increased on roads and waterways. Pressure of passengers and vehicles has also increased on waterways in Daulatdia of Rajbari and Paturia of Manikganj.

However, this time Eid holidaymakers are not facing sufferings compared to the previous years.

The number of passengers and vehicles has been increasing on the Daulatdia-Paturia river route since Saturday (June 15) morning. The people of the southern region using this route are returning their village home with ease as the ferry runs on time.

It was noticed in the morning that every ferry coming from Paturia to Daulatdia was full of vehicles and passengers. Getting down from the ferries at the ghats, passengers started for their destinations by buses, mahendras and motorcycles. Buses coming to the ferry go to their destinations smoothly. The Dhaka-bound vehicles from the South-West region are seen directly boarding the ferry as there is no traffic jam at Daulatdia Ghat.
