Ginger price increased by Tk 120 overnight

The price of ginger has increased by Tk 120 per kg in Hili of Dinajpur overnight on the excuse of import ban. 

Just before the Eid-ul-Azha, common costumers have become angry due to this price hike. 

On Sunday (June 16) morning, it was noticed that per kg ginger is being sold at Tk 320 from Saturday morning, but its price was Tk 200 to Tk 220 on Friday in the retail market. 

Traders said port’s import activities have remained closed during the Eid holidays. Besides due to increased demand, the price of the cooking ingredient has increased.
