Shimulia ferry ghat no 3 disappeared in Padma

Ferry ghat no 3 at Shimulia of Munsiganj on Tuesday disappeared in Padma river due to strong current. Besides, an establishment of BIWTA and a mosque also vanished into water.

Ghat manager of BIWTC Shakhawat Ahmed confirmed the matter.

He said, ‘An establishment of BIWTA and a mosque were washed away by flood water.’

A disabled ferry named Shah Makhdum anchored near the ghat was removed from there, he added.
