Barishal Bus services resume after two hours

Barishal bus operators lifted their suspension on services from the city to the rest of Bangladesh hours after starting a strike. 

The bus services were restored around 10:00am on Friday (August 7) after the assurance of district administration.

Barisal-Patuakhali Minibus Owners' Association’s general secretary Kawsar Hossain Shipon confirmed the matter.

He said, three wheelers, Nasiman, Karima and other human haulers started to run from Patuakhali this morning. Meanwhile, Bus workers protested them but the workers of human haulers vandalized four buses. Following the incident, bus services in 17 routes were declared halted.
