Allama Shafi hospitalised

Hefajat-e Islam Ameer Shah Ahmed Shafi has been admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital after he fell sick on Thursday midnight.

Allama Shafi, who resigned from Hathajari Madrasa on Thursday, was admitted to the hospital of the port city around 12.00am.

Earlier, agitated students vandalised the office of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Ameer Shah Ahmed Shafi on Thursday morning.

Students of the madrasa (also known as the Hathazari Madrasa) began their agitation again since Wednesday as the madrasa administration was yet to fulfil some of their demands, including the removal of Allama Shafi from the position of director general at the institution.
